Doug Gilstrap

Chief Executive Officer

Doug Gilstrap is a global telecommunications executive with more than 30 years of experience leading technology, strategy, and growth across major communications and infrastructure companies. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Zentro Internet, where he also sits on the Board and has been an active investor since 2021.

Prior to Zentro, Doug spent nearly a decade as a Venture Partner at TCV and Industrial Advisor with EQT Partners, advising on high-growth technology and telecom investments. During that time, he held numerous board and chair positions with industry leaders including IPC Systems, Segra, Cradlepoint, WASH Multifamily Laundry Systems, Forsta, Broadnet, and Sitetracker.

Earlier in his career, Doug served as Global Head of Strategy for Ericsson, overseeing M&A, venture investments, and corporate development activities totaling more than $3 billion in transactions. He previously led Radianz as CEO—a company he co-founded and grew into the world’s largest financial extranet before its sale to BT—and earlier served as COO and CFO of Equant Networks (NYSE: ENT), helping take the company public and expand operations to over 100 countries. Doug began his career in corporate finance with KPMG and SITA, where he helped spin out the business that ultimately became Equant.

Doug earned his MBA in Finance and Management from Emory University, graduating with Highest Distinction, and completed the Executive Management Program at INSEAD.

He has also held various board and advisory positions, including with VIAVI Solutions, Zayo Group, and the Wake Forest University School of Business.

Darren Burgener

Darren Burgener serves as Chief Financial Officer of Zentro, bringing deep expertise in finance, M&A, and growth strategy across the telecommunications and technology sectors. At Zentro, Darren leads the finance team with a focus on scalable systems, data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement—working closely with the leadership team to fuel expansion and deliver consistent value to our customers, employees and shareholders.

At Zentro, Darren leads the finance team with a focus on scalable systems, data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement—working closely with the leadership team to fuel expansion and deliver consistent value to our customers, employees and shareholders.

Before joining Zentro, Darren held CFO roles at telecommunication companies SilverIP Communications and Access One, and earlier led the corporate development function at Inteliquent (now part of Sinch AB).

Earlier in his career, Darren spent 10 years in investment banking at Lehman Brothers and Jefferies. His work included strategic financings, IPOs, and cross-border transactions that shaped the evolution of the communications sector during a period of rapid industry consolidation and innovation. He started his career in Tokyo with Fuji Bank (now Mizuho).

Darren earned his MBA from the University of Chicago following undergraduate studies at the University of Manitoba and Keio University in Japan.

Before joining Zentro, Kevin served as Chief Financial Officer at BAI Connect and Broadvoice, where he led finance, treasury, and strategic planning through periods of rapid expansion. Earlier, he held senior finance roles at TPx Communications, overseeing FP&A, procurement, and M&A support for a large private-equity-owned telecom operator

Kevin holds an MBA from the USC Marshall School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington.

Rafael Diaz

Rafael Diaz serves as Chief Information Officer at Zentro, where he oversees enterprise technology strategy, systems integration, and digital transformation across the company’s growing national footprint. He brings more than two decades of leadership experience in telecommunications IT, operations, and program management.

Before joining Zentro, Rafael served as CIO at BAI Connect, where he led enterprise systems integration, business intelligence, and data-driven process optimization supporting company-wide growth. Prior to that, he was Director of Engineering at Sprint & T-Mobile, managing large-scale BSS/OSS operations managing and leading the migration of PR Wireless systems into Sprint national platform. Earlier in his career, he served as VP of Operations and CIO at Open Mobile (PR Wireless), where he oversaw IT infrastructure, billing systems, and customer platforms across Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, driving major modernization initiatives and leading disaster recovery operations following Hurricane Maria. Rafael also held senior technical leadership roles at EMC, Perficient, Disney Mobile, Cingular Wireless, and Cable & Wireless, where he directed large-scale BSS/OSS operations, network, and systems transformation programs across the Americas.

Rafael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering from the Universidad Tecnologica of Panama.

A seasoned telecommunications executive with more than 25 years of experience, Dave previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Zentro prior to its merger with BAI Connect. During his tenure as CEO, he oversaw two strategic acquisitions and guided Zentro’s expansion into a national broadband provider serving major metropolitan markets.

Before joining Zentro, Dave held senior leadership roles including SVP of Network & Technology and CTO at Hargray Communications, Managing Director at The Halton Partners, CEO at Mobilicity and executive positions with Cogeco Data Services, Telecom Ottawa, and other leading service providers. His career spans network architecture, large-scale fiber deployment, and operational transformation across North American broadband markets.

A telecommunications executive with more than two decades of experience driving growth, integration, and transformation, Greg has held senior leadership roles across multiple segments of the communications industry. Before joining Zentro, he served as President, COO, and CSO of Segra, one of the largest independent fiber bandwidth companies in the U.S., where he led network expansion, M&A integration, and product innovation following the merger of Lumos Networks and Spirit Communications. Prior to that, he spent eight years as COO of Spirit Communications, directing all business operations, business development, strategy, and marketing across the Southeast. Earlier in his career, Greg was Co-Founder and President of Home Central LLC, a smart home automation and surveillance company, and led a successful management consulting practice advising technology and telecom clients on business planning, product strategy, and financial growth.

In addition to his operating leadership, Greg has served as a Board Member and Industry Advisor to leading fiber providers and private equity firms, guiding investment and strategic planning in the broadband and communications sectors.

Greg holds an MBA in International Finance from Seton Hall University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University.

Paul Navin

Paul Navin serves as Chief Operations Officer at Zentro, where he leads all aspects of operations, field service, network maintenance, and construction delivery. His focus is on driving operational excellence, improving efficiency, and scaling performance across Zentro’s growing national footprint.

Before joining Zentro, Paul served as Vice President of Operations at Charter Communications, where he led a team of more than 800 professionals delivering telecommunications services to over 2.5 million customers across Wisconsin. Prior to that, he spent more than a decade with Comcast, serving as Division Vice President of Operations and Regional Vice President of Operations, managing large-scale service operations supporting over 10 million subscribers and annual budgets exceeding $1 billion. Earlier in his career, he held financial and consulting leadership roles at EarthLink, Accenture, and Deloitte, where he directed strategic initiatives in cost management, profitability improvement, and organizational transformation across the communications and technology sectors.

Paul earned his MBA in Strategy and Finance from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, where he graduated as a Fuqua Scholar in the top 10% of his class, and his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
